Maintenance Engineer | Prothya | Amsterdam
As an all-round maintenance engineer, you will independently take care of maintenance and service work on process installations and utilities within a pharmaceutical environment. In addition to maintenance work, you will also carry out modifications to our installations. It is a position in a normal working week where you may undertake a 24/7 breakdown service (just several times a year).
Prothya has an internal technical service department with more than 60 employees. This group is responsible for maintaining over 50,000 square metres of machinery, process equipment, buildings and utilities at their in-house pharmaceutical production facility. In particular, the Maintenance & Calibration department focuses on calibrating, maintaining and repairing the equipment used in the production processes. At this plant, they produce medicinal products from blood plasma, with some products being essential for patient health.

What will you do?
- Working day shifts with additional standby (on-call overtime);
- You will analyse problems, rectify faults and carry out maintenance and modifications to mechanical and electrical components;
- Performing administrative tasks;
- You give technical advice in the specific field to the project department, among others;
- Performing tank and welding inspections and NEN tests (you will be taught if necessary).
What do you get in return?
- You will start on a six-month temp-to-hire basis, after which you will get a contract from Prothya;

- Salary scale 7 (maximum €4,750 per month, based on 40 hours. Excluding allowances etc)
- 8.33% end-of-year bonus and 8.33% holiday allowance;
- Personal training budget of €2,100 per 3 years;
- Reimbursement of travel expenses from the first kilometre (0.23 cents per km with a max of 30 km);
- Pension plan with PFZW.
What we expect from you
- A completed MBO education in electrical engineering and instrumentation or measurement and control engineering is required, with a specialisation in Calibration preferred;
- Experience in the field of E&I, measurement and control engineering, calibration, or electrical engineering is required;
- Proficiency in working with PLC systems, measurement and control engineering, instrumentation, or electrical engineering;
- Familiarity with adjusting, testing, and installing measurement and control equipment, such as transmitters, frequency converters, control valves, electric motors connected to mixers, pumps, etc.;
- Working experience in the process technology, petrochemical, food production, or pharmaceutical industries is a plus. Familiarity with GMP and/or ISO standards is appreciated.
